ABOUT THE BOOK

"Homo Sapiens have not yet failed. Yes, we are failing but there is still time to turn everything around.  We can still fix this". -  Greta Thunberg

The Resolution Institute's mission is to write and publish a book. This will not be a book that defines our global problems – climate change, poverty, war, pandemics, and so forth; that work has already been brilliantly laid out by countless others.  Instead, our book will provide a plan, an overarching blueprint, offering all of humanity a path forward to effective action on global problems.

There are so many global problems - and they are so complex. Right now people are deterred from engaging because they lack confidence that their actions will even make a dent in solving these global problems. People need confidence that their actions - when added to the actions of all global citizens - will yield a sustainable future for humanity.

With the working title Humanity Uniting Effectively, the book will present a new strategy to unite all humanity in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as defined by the United Nations.

Humanity Uniting Effectively (HUE)

  • Humanity - a collective of almost 8 billion people living on one common planet

  • Uniting - people have the clarity and confidence that they are doing their part in coordination with the rest of humanity

  • Effectively - the application of Performance Excellence to achieve actual results

The HUE Blueprint

Three elements to engage as many global citizens as possible:

  • Prioritize - each global citizen will be enabled, through a simple color-coded dashboard, to select a SDG for optimum impact in their local region

  • Join  -  each global citizen will be provided information about regional performance excellence initiatives that focus on their prioritized SDG

  • Collaborate - each global citizen will be supplied a method to enhance their collaborative skills to resolve issues and effectively achieve the SDG
